Your message is over 8 years old, but I thought I would give it a try. My birthday is
April 23, the day the message was sent.
I have an exact DNA match with two cousins Herman and Donald Ray Colvard who can trace
their family to Surry Co., NC and William Pleasants Colvard. William Pleasants Colvard
then had a son named Pleasants.
Surry Co., NC is where John Butterworth Colvard lived. In 1744 his father William Calvert
died in Chesterfield Co, VA.
Temperance Colvard's children were then placed in the Dale
Parish orphanage and "bound" out to aomeone who would teach them a trade.
John Pleasants of Henrico Co paid the surety so Temperance could get her children back.
That's why John Butterworth named his son William Pleasants.
Richard A. Colbert
