According to the Maryland Archives, William Stone served the MD colony twice as
Governor.
William Calvert, of my line (and Leonard's son), was never the colony's
Governor.

I can see why most genealogical records show that Elizabeth's line goes back to
George because there is an Elizabeth in almost every family and every generation
of the many Calvert descendants.
I looked down thru the 7th. generation from George, Lord Baltimore, and there
were dozens of Elizabeths. But the only Elizabeth born close to 1796 was
Elizabeth Calvert born 1784 married to William Moore June 26, 1804.
You have some information that is in error. William Stone was not the third
governor of Maryland. It was William Calvert, son of Leonard (my line).
William Calvert was married to Elizabeth Stone, daughter of Captain William
Stone and Verlinda Stone.
William Calvert and Elizabeth Stone had 6 children, one of whom was an
Elizabeth, born 1666.
