Here is my other post of today regarding Sarah Calvert that married
George Hallmark:
I can tell you with certainty that the Sarah Calvert that married George
Washington Hallmark was NOT the same Sarah Calvert that was the daughter
of William Calvert [1757] and Elizabeth Nodding Calvert. I am a
descendant of William [1757] and Elizabeth and have worked on their
descendants for many years.
The Sarah Calvert that married George Hallmark was born abt. 1778, married by 1801, and
had a child Polly Hallmark by 1802.
Here is a website with considerable information on Sarah Calvert and George Washington
Hallmark:http://texashistory.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metapth29590/m1/37/
This source indicates that Sarah Calvert Hallmark had a sister Polly that married George
Hallmark's brother Minet or Minott Hallmark. It also indicates that Sarah Calvert
died and that George Washington Hallmark moved to Houston County, Texas, remarried a
couple of times, and had numerous children, born both in Alabama and Texas.
Sarah Calvert, daughter of William Calvert [1757] and Elizabeth Nodding Calvert was born 3
Jun 1789 in Washington County, TN, married Andrew J. Sharpe, probably in Cooper County,
Missouri, and died in Cooper County, Missouri before Apr. 1843 (the date Andrew
remarried), and is undoubtedly buried in Cooper County. I do not know if they had any
children before her death.
Although I have seen web sites showing Sarah Calvert that married George Hallmark as a
daughter of William [1757] and Elizabeth Nodding (or Nooding, as one site has it), her
birth date in 1778, and the birth of hers& George Hallmark's first child (1801 or
1802) exclude this Sarah as a child of William [1757]. I rather suspect this Sarah was
the daughter of the William Calvert who married Sarah ?? and ended up in Blount Co.,
Alabama. That is the same location given as the death place of Sarah Calvert Hallmark.
We know that the William Calvert that ended up in Alabama is not William [1757], as
William [1757]ended up in Cooper County, Missouri, died there in 1834, and is buried
there. And, although William [1757] and Elizabeth had a daughter Mary "Polly"
Calvert, she was not born until 1792, married Thomas Finch, and died in 1864 in Carroll
County, Missouri.

I am documenting George Hallmark m. Sarah Calvert, (dau of William Calvert b. 1757 or
abt). Does anyone have documentation proving they married? They are my direct family
line through my mother, a Hallmark. I know this is a old posting, but am hoping for a
response. Thank you in advance of a reply.
