Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I know Jim Calvert and Darrell Elliott an I are researching the same lines. My Aunt Rena Brown did 99.9% of the Calvert research I have. Unfortunately my Aunt doesn't have a computer and can't join in on our chats. I keep a close eye on this Calvert Chat hoping someone will finally get all the puzzle pieces put together.

Calvert
Carolyn,
John Calvert Jr is the son of John Calvert b 1766 and Esther Jones. Varioius families show John of Mifflin County to be the father of John 1766. John 1766 children were born in PA except the youngest and the county was either Mifflin or Centre or both depending on the time frame.
One family line has secondary information that indeed says that John Calvert who lived at Bald Eagle Twp is the father of John of 1766. There are letters that state John 1766 was born in MD and lived on Calvert St in Baltimore before moving to Bald Eagle Valley.
John Calvert who married Jane Swayne is the most likely candidate who may or may not be the father of John Calvert 1766. It is not proven. The fact that the Mercers and Beale's have a marriage downline in John Jr is certainly an indication.
Perhaps we should get together and exchange information about what we know and what we suspect. There are at least 5 of us actively looking at the John Calverts of PA and who will read this post with whom I communicate regularly; Jim Ray, Sylvia WHitaker, Darrell Elliott, Gail Huggins and Jim Calvert.
Regards,
David Bell

All,
I fear someone contacted me about Amos Mercer and I have lost their email etc. The issue was a demonstration of the children of Joseph Mercer and his wife jane Swayne and hence John Calvert.
A fellow researcher working on Calverts has found a record
that shows the orphans, so to speak, of Joseph Mercer, thus demonstrating Amos Mercer as the son of Joseph and in the gaurdianship of John Calvert. Jim Ray has been pouring over documents and found them.
If you have an interest, please contact me. I am sure Jim will forward the copies of the pertinent images to you.

Jim, I do not know if this will help any, but there were already Calverts in
that part of AR. William Howison Calvert lived in the Phillips co., AR area
and his sons lived there later too. I know one son lived in the Lee co., AR
area. This is in the county just south of Craighead, I believe. Maybe Henry
went there because they were kin. I do not have all the descendants records. I
come down from a daughter, Lavinia Jane Calvert. The Calverts went to that
area early in the 1800s. It could be that Henry came down from that line but
had moved north before then. If you want anymore information on this line
email me.
Good luck, Beverly Sullivan

Hi,
I found the Cemetery!! I fell real dumb right now. If we would have kept going on the 1st road we were on we would have run right into it.
Calvert Cemetery is now on private land but is accessabe to the public. I looked today at another cemetery on the way home but no luck. I called the police office and the young man dirrected me to the right spot.
I am going to try to plan a short trip next Fri. or Sat.
I still can't send e-mail but can receive so I am in hopes you see this post.
Gail
