I do not know if this could be your Jesse or not but in the book "Pioneers of
Lewis Co., KY" put out by the Lewis Co. Historical Soc. they have a Jesse
Calvert who married Constant Calvert, daughter of William Calvert and his
wife Hannah Harrison. This is the William Calvert that was b. 22 Feb.
1731/32 in Prince William Co., Va. and died in 1812 in Mason co., KY. This
sounds like it fits in your time period. You might check this one out.

My Elizabeth Bashley Calvert was b 1755 in MD. So it looks like she is too
old for your generation. She & her husband Ludwig Bricker moved to Greene Co
PA by 1790 as a son was baptized there. They were Lutheran. They were m. 1776
in Baltimore MD. In 1785 they were in Frederick Co MD. Ludwig is suppost to
have served in the Rev. War but we don't know for sure. I am trying to check
out Rev War records. I have read the early Lord Calverts spent summers in
VA, I don't know about mine though. I am descended from the Brickers & have
just recently gotten interested in the Calvert line. My gr aunt told me about
them & our line descended from the Lord Baltimores. I am attempting to get
the m. cert. for Elizabeth & Ludwig through the MD Hist. Soc. if there is
one in a church record. I don't know what religion Elizabeth was & if they
got married in her church or where. Ludwig was German & Lutheran. I suppose
Elizabeth was possibly Anglican, Presbyterian or something else. There may be
a conncection though. Right now I am trying to find her grandparents, John
Calverts father that is. I am hoping it is on the church records.

I have run into a brick wall. I am trying to find primary and secondary references to Isaac calvert b1735 Ezekiel b1755
and Thomas b1784. I have thomas marriage and issue
anna ewing.
The ewing name is the middle name of my great grandfather John Ewing b 1856.
Supposedly there are varying dates for isaac ezekiel and thomas. I think there is a mixing of lines in PA/OH and maybe the source state either VA or MD or both. If anyone can help sort out the confusion it would be appreciated. I have census records for ezekiel thomas whitely twp greene co 1810. a census record also for an isaac 1810. they appear to all be brothers or a related line. all are 26-25. I searched all of the wva county cemeteries searching for info. I think Isaac b somewhere around 1750 or before ended up in Oh. my grandfather, son of John Ewing was in OH before migrating to Mo. Arthur Clay b 1876 silver hill wetzel co wva.
some of the mixup is because of various mistakes and mis-attrributions of names and associations. For example:
Isaac b 1735 m fanny bullitt(another shows him b 1742/49
m frances bullock and goes back to Joshua
and deborah harlan via John not George.
thomas b 1784(supposedly) m anna Ewing Another line has b1769 from the Joshua line but shows anna ewing
the spouse.
issue
thomas C(clare) b 1803 m elizabeth johnson (my line)
hugh Ewing b 1805 m a miller and had issue
resin(rezin) which is similar to another line of a thomas
whose son robert had a rezin or reason who
died in cass co. mo.
I have a reference in a book provided by another researcher
that this line is from cecilius(2) b c 1700. Dulany-Furlong and Kindred Families. This, used as a model to what my family records show is correct at least to ezekiel and perhaps an isaac. Supposedly the isaac was a res(z)in but not either born circa 1790 or 1825-30. I cannot discern from any factual
record that one resin is the same as another but this appears to me to be a mixing up of GEDs and no factual information, primary, secondary etc.
At one point in time there was a calvert genealogist who had a research firm titled Time Travelers in wva. I have called family members in wva to talk about what they know. Unfortunately, they are of the generation which does not have
direct knowledge, only hertiage, the family bibles etc. The generation which preceded it, born before 1900 is now gone and though i and my mother had met many back in wva and exchanged letters, i no longer can access their more direct memory. I have been in wetzel and mother researched Greene co. pa. I know that thomas C was on Monanagalia co
and since that is such a mixed up mess i don't know where to search for records.
suffice to say, these calverts were in greene co pa and wetzel, tyler, marshall monangalia co wva(regardless of state).
I have census records, w of 1812 records, hardestys, land deeds etc for either thomas b1784 or his grandson Albert gallatin(and from there I have primary sources--he was b1830 and it documents his father b1803 and his grandfather thomas for which we have no documentation at all except my research, hardesty's reference and other notes/secondary sources which are not verified).
Is there anyone that can add anything on this line?
I would be eternally grateful.
thanks
David bell

Mary,
There was a son, Arthur, of John Calvert who was born in Morgan County, OH, c.1848. He was a twin. His twin's name was Luther. The family moved from Morgan County to Appanoose County, OH around 1852. I do not have any further information, but if you contact me at my e-mail address, I will put you in contact with a couple of people who may.

Hello!
I would appreciate any help with Nathan Calvert, b. about 1797 in VA, married Mariah Jones. I believe this was his second marriage, but don't have the first wife's name. Nathan lived in Athens County, OH from about 1820 to sometime before 1860. He is listed in Clark County MO in 1860. If anyone knows his parentage or siblings, I would be grateful to hear it!!
Thank you,
Peggy Calvert Robbins

Hello:
I too am looking at this Isaac Calvert. The RD Furlong Book
Furlong-Delany and Kindred Families shows the following:
Cecilius b 1700 ca
Isaac b1735
Ezekiel b1755
I am working backwards from my line:
ezek. in the 1810 Greene Co. census with Isaac and thomas, Whitely twp. all 3 showing in the 26-46 category. the isaac and ezek. appear to be brothers or related.
My Thos. shows in the book as b1769 m Anna Ewing
Father of Thomas C b1803 m Elizabeth Johnson
Albert Gallatin b1830. m Mary A. Polly Cain
John Ewing m Martha Lemasters
Arthur Clay my grandfather
I had seen info somewhere that Isaac married a frances.
You have Bullock and I have bullitt (various) spellings going by the name of Fanny. I think Ezek. m Rhoda Debolt but not sure.
It is possible that Isaac was b in MD or VA and perhaps
Ezekiel as well.
Can you match your research to any of this?
regards
David Bell

How was your scam done?
John Calvert born 1781 married a commoner. She was a Protestant. He was part of the Cicilius Calvert Family. He was disowned.
Anita Burguise (sp) Calvert had a meeting about the Ciclius Calvert will being tied up for 99 years on the male side.
She showed where John Calvert had a daughter Sally (Sarah) that married a George Elliott.
These were the parents of Buris Westlake Elliott. born in Belmont County, Ohio
John Calvert was the son of William Calvert and Elizabeth Nodding. They had ties to Cecilius.
For the sum of $100, we will include you in the case for the untold wealth of Lord Baltimore.
Burris Weatlake Elliott paid the $100 and that was it.
The John Calvert son of William and Elizabeth was our fake lineage.

I am trying to figure out the Calvert line starting with my GGrandmother and working back. I know that her father was named Jonathan or Joseph Joe Cephus Calvert. The true name is very hard to find, but it is some variation of the above and he married Tobitha Elmira Henderson. His father wasJonathon Calvert who married Manilla Jane Cannon (also found records with the name Malinda Jane Cannon. Any help there?) After that I thinkis Joseph Calvert married to an Elizabeth and then William Calvert married to Elizabeth Wooding. Is this information correct and does anybody have any more? This line has been very confusing to me because of the discrepancy with some of the dates.
Thanks
