Subject: [INDELAWA-L] PARKER-MOORE CEMETERY
Dear List Members:
I have mostly just looked in on this list, as I never seem to have anything
to contribute. However, so much talk of cemeteries has put me to wonder, if
any of you are familiar with the Parker-Moore Cemetery. My Mother took me
there about 10 years ago. It is in the far country. (I will ask her where
tomorrow) My question is: Is there a good record of that cemetery and who
was buried there? When I was there it looked like something of of a scary
movie. There were no tresspassing signs, sunken graves and trees and roots
everywhere. I did go in, but so many stones were piled up and I couldn't
move any of them. Once, I found a partial list, but the name of my
GGGrandmother was wrong, if in fact it is her. As I remember the date is
right and just the name is different. The reason I wanted to investigate
further is, a daughter is also missing and I think she might be buried there
too.
This is my Calvert Line, and the first wife of Jacob Calvert. Catherine Ann
Moore b. abt. 1812 doed Sept 16, 1852 or 53
My little delema is: they had a daughter names Cornelia and she dropped
out of sight between census-
there is another daughter Cynthia and she is
buried in Beech Grove (I am familiar with her)
the part that throws me is in the Parker
Moore Cemetery it lists Cynthia as dying on the date her mother
died, and no other Calvert.
I'm sorry I tend to run on.
Thanks for any thoughts on the subject.
