Hi..
I understand your questions and I am not sure that I can clear it up

mail you some copies of some old letters concerning this connection of
George and William Calvert. I think that you will find them

<< Dear Cousins and fellow researchers,
The thread by this title has been running here for about two weeks. The
key fact we need to prove is who are William's parents. The original
message gave three references
a) "The Lookout," 1916
b) Maryland Historical Magiazine, Vol XVI, No. 1 March 1921 and 2
June 1921.
c) an old Bible belonging to one Lee Finch, Bosworth, MO.
Reference b) is Nicklin, John Bailey Calvert. "The Calvert Family,"
Maryland Historical Magazine, Vol XVI, pg 50-59, 189-204, 313-318, and
389-394.(It ran in all four issues of Vol XVI.) It is a good article on
the genealogy of the titled Calverts and their descendants. More
important, on page 193 onto 194 it lists George Calvert m 1) Anne
Crupper; issue, six children NOT including a William. George only had a
daughter Mary by his second wife Mary, widow of Robert Deatherdge. Thus
ref b) does not addres the key question.
I found a periodical at the New York Public Library entitled "The
Lookout." It is the house organ of the Seaman's Church Institute of New
York. It was monthly in 1916 and I purused all 12 issues. It has
nothing remotely connected to our case.
I would like to ask the list two things:
a) What is the exact reference to "The Lookout," Is it
perhaps a a genealogical newsletter from
Eastern Tennessee?
b) Does anyone have the exact quote from the Finch Bible? When
was it in the possession of Lee Finch of Bosworth?
Since one of our William's daughters married Thomas Finch, this may be
the best shot at establishing who his parents were.

Paul Bardell

Aug. 13, 1999 Hi everyone,
Lots of time, I have no knowledge to fill in re the digest. I will see
what I can find
in the MO. area as I get the MO Hist.
Soc. mailings.
Sources that I have used tracing down
mainly Brent, Anne who m. Leonard s/o
Lord Baltmore. She carries the royal
line for the VA Calverts.
Sources: MAGNA CHARTER SURETIES
1215, by Frederick Weiss.
ANCESTRAL ROOTS by the same author.
MAGNA CHARTA BARONS by Charles
Browning.
AMERICANS OF ROYAL DESCENT by
Charles Browning.
ROYALTY FOR COMMONERS, by
Roderick W. Stuart.
Also some pages of Calverts in VA etc.
not the MD Calverts by Nicklin.
There is also ROYAL DESCENTS OF 500
IMMIGRANTS to the American Colonies of the United States, by Gary Boyd
Roberts. That can be ordered from
Genealogical Publishing Co.
Of course, O'Gorman, who made a few
errors, but all of the above also have
errors.
This is about it for me. Will try to check
on MO but at this moment am swamped with more research than I can
handle.
Barbara Calvert
My Ggrandfather was William M. Calvert, that is how I got into the Calvert clan. We have never been able to find our direct connection to the Lord Baltimore group.

Leonard Cavert m. Anne Brent and her
line is the one that is the "royal line."
One source (and I have more) is
LIVING DESCENDNTS OF BLOOD ROYAL (in America) by Count
d'Angerville. There are too many lines
to Anne but she connects to the Neville
family and an ancestor was Ed. III and
John of Gaunt and you can go on for-
ever. Anne Brent thru one line is 14th
generation in line of descent from King
Phillip III of France; 11 gen. from Ed.III
and also from another line of Ed.I.
Am interested in Wm Calvert/Eliz.
Nodding connection, but all info in this

this I do not always know where to go next. I have a BUD CALVERT married to

CURRIE,(B) 6/19/1872 (D) 7/13/a957 I do not know if Marshell had any
brothers or sisters. He did have ETHEL ESTELL (MARTIN) , WILLIAM DON, OTTIE

CALVERT. The first three were born in Cottondale, Wise county, Texas and the
