brothers and sisters were all b. in Ohio.) d. Sept. 23, 1937, at Portland,
Ore., m.Oct. 26, 1892, to Sadie E. Calvert, b. May 2O. 1871, at Piper City,
Ill. She was a daughter of Abner B. Calvert (a descendant of Lord Baltimore).
In April, 1883, Mr. Calvert moved from Piper City, Ill., and took a government
homestead of 16O acres near Carthage, in what was then the Dakota Territory.
In 1899 the Territory was divided and North and South Dakota were admitted as
States. Mr. Calvert was a contractor and builder, and on the corner of his
farm he built a little school house. Here, in 1885, Miss Emma E. McQuade was
the first school teacher. During that year George Augustus Bieber came with
his family to Carthage, where he built a flour mill. His son, Rev. George F.
Bieber, came to preach in the school house, met Miss Emma E. McQuade, and soon
thereafter they were married. Later when Miss Sadie E. Calvert was a teacher
in the little county school house, Rev. Frederick D. Bieber and Sadie decided
to marry. In the meantime Mr. Calvert

for two years. In the fall of 1894 he moved to Missouri, accepted appointments
until 1909, when on July 5 he was struck by lightning Badly burned and health

I am a member of DAR & know if they accept someone today with those
Calvert links, the person has passed a big hurdle with their
documentation, as I had to change from the one I wanted to use for the
lack of unquestionable docs. They are a lot tighter today on accepting
ones documentation. Reuben's line is much more documented than my
Christophers.

Cousins,
I talked to Steve Calvert earlier today. He mentioned again the book,
The Stones of Poynton Manor. He stated that this book has some profound
information abt my and George's (George of the list) wife Elizabeth
Stone. George was the son of William. Anyway, he stated that the book
was written by Thomas Stone, who was Elizabeth's fater, in the 1700's,
so the information would certainly be pertinent to our research. Has
anyone tried to find the book? I certainly would appreciate the help, if
anyone has heard of the book, or has a large library that might have
access to it. Thanks, Vicki K

quite some time back I believe I sent the list of passengers coming to
America on the Ark and Dove. I can't find it on my hard drive which
means I probably lost it during a crash. If anyone has the list will you
please send it to me. That way I won't have to dig through mountains of
paper looking for it. Thanks a bunch. Vicki K
p.s. I really did enjoy the picture of Linda and her husband. I think it
would be a good idea for all of us to send each other our picture. Then
we can put a face to the name. How about it cousins? I'm game. Anyone
want a picture of me and my husband let me know and I'll get it to you
via email. Vicki K
