Hi Cynde. It's been a long time since you posted this, so I don't know if
you'll see this. I was going to throw out there that my great-great-grandparents
moved to Jackson, TN some time before 1840, where they married, but the census shows they
were both born in VA. At that time, there was no W VA, only VA. Lee is a common name in
our family. It was my grandfather's name, and my father and brother's middle
names. My grandfather was born in 1885. Possibly, could there be a "Lee
Callaway" connection back in the early 1800's? My grandfather Lee's middle
name was Sugars if that helps. His grandparents that moved to Jackson from VA were
William S. Callaway and Elizabeth M. Brown, though in some records it is spelled as
"Calloway". Their marriage certificate does show Callaway, though.
