My Clayton Callison born 1877 in Morgan County, MO moved to Oklahoma.
Married Lucy ?? This Claytons mother was born in Texas. Could 1858 Clayton be the
father?
IF I remember correctly -- and that is kinda doubtful -- it is pretty early
in the AM, some of the Morgan Co., MO line DID go to TX.
1880 census only shows your Clayton age 3 with parents Henry born 1854 MO and
Mary (born TX) -- William and Marian Chapman line. What happened to him after
this census??
There is a Henry born Jan 1852 MO in Kingfisher Co. OK. with father born KY
and mother born MO but his older children were born in KS and the younger ones
in OK. - married 22 years so a different Henry, I guess. Where is your family
in 1900
1900 census has a Clayton Callison born Illinois living Madison Co., IA with
father, Woods B. Callison -- line of thrice married James Callison
1910 Concho TX Clayton D. born 1858 married 30 years, born TX, father born
TN, mother born TX
The TN is of interest because of the recurring TN in the family of Samuel,
brother to James, father unknown -- fits in census records for William and
Marian Chapman-- but no other connection. Samuel has that he was born TN. Maybe
this Clayton is in that line. Samuel is in Gonzales Co. TX in 1860 but no male
born 1858 with him. There is ? at Pate or Tate Finley and a Hiram both age 2.
and in 1870 there is a Fi----- C so my guess is the Clayton that you found in
1920 is this same Clayton Findley Callison or something similar to that.
Interesting that a line from Samuel and a line from William and Marion Chapman
Callison both used the name Clayton -- the coincidences just keep stacking up. In
1880 Clayton appears to be listed as Phinneas Callison.
1920 Willism Clayton Callison born 1880 Illinois is still in Madison Co., IA
Clayton F. Callison is in Gonzales Co. TX born 1858 TX -- now says father
born MO
Does not appear to be listed in 1930
WOW after that whole dissertation -- Joyce could probably rattle off all the
facts when she got to her emails. The GOOD thing in the exercise was possibly
connecting some dots with the name CLAYTON. Take care. Marilyn
