Genealogical Gems from Early Missouri deeds 1815-1850
Does anyone know anything about this
We know that we have William and Mary Ann Chapman married 1804 Greenbrier Co., VA and then
by 1805 in Lincoln Co., KY with Joseph and Absolom. He is in KY until 1820 and then in
Morgan Co., MO which was formed from Cooper Co., MO about 1835, I think. I have found
nothing for him in Cooper Co and by 1840 -- only two of his sons, William and Absolom are
in the census -- one with an older female living with them
Book D page 170
April 3, 1835 In agreement between William Callison Sr. and William Callison Jr; the
latter promised to maintain his parents, William Callison Sr. and his mother, Polly
Callison, decently during their natural lives, for which he was receive all of the estate
Not sure all these facts are correct but that is the gist of it. William Callison stayed
in Morgan Co but Absolom went to Arkansas, I think.? Still would like to compare the DNA
from this line with Joyce's line. Dream on, huh. Take care Marilyn
