In the middle of the night ( I have got to get a life other than this
project) I remembered that I put the DNA chart upside down when mentioning that
Samual (ancestor of Joyce) could be used for maternal DNA testing. When Samuel
married, that introduced the BOX maternal DNA into the gene pool. The only male
that can used for ancestral maternal DNA testing would be Joyce's brother (if
she had one or if she did not want the test) so therefor at the bottom of the
chart. I KNEW something about that other scenario sounded too easy. <smile> but
guess it was all the mexican food I had for dinner warping my brain cells.
This is the simplified chart that I mentioned but beware after too much
mexican it is no longer simplified.

You can use the links at the top of that page to find more info on the how
specific each of the various tests are and also about the confidenciality issue.
You can also see what other surnames already have research groups started.
I'ld LOVE to get a CALLISON/KELLISON male line compared to take me out of my
misery with that connection possibility.
Anyway, Good morning group. My brother's DNA male line would be for THOMAS
and the earliest that I know for mine is for a Spanish lady named Maria born
1790 Louisiana. Now isn't that a fine kettle of fish. (Is that just a southern
expression or does it make sense to everyone else also)
Take care

So the only benefit in testing a male from Samuel's line would be to see if
there was ANY connection with James and Isabel line
Sooooo let me figure this out again. IF Joyce descends from
