For whatever this is worth. I have more to follow on Daniel
Virginia Genealogical Society Quarterly Vol X11 no. 3
Augusta County Court Martial Records 1756-1783 Index
Daniel Calliehon, 1761:30
James Callison 1769: 48
I assume that the last number is the page in this volume. Does anyone have
access to these quarterly to see what it was all about?? Maybe an issue of James
who married Mary Callison being a Quaker and not serving but don't know why
that would neccesitate a court martial. And if this is Daniel CALLISON, he
would have had to be born before 1740!!! I guess I did not realize that James who
married Mary Callison was ever in Augusta Co but don't know how I thought he
married someone from Augusta. <smile> even thought we don't know when or where
they married.
Name Index same Quarterly Vol V11 no 4
page 104
Looks like all the children of James Callison who was married to Eliz.
McAllister and then to Mary Callison and Eliz. Young. I thought it might be his will
but I think that it was filed in Grainger Co., Tn.
There is also a James Callison on page 84 of this issue.
