Was he living in St. Charles when he died, or was he visiting? We have two cases in our
family where the guy went somewhere on business and died. Was his probate filed in both
places, or just one? Does his probate list him as being from St. Charles or from Ohio?

Rena, Just wondering if anyone attaching any significance to the fact that
Absolom was in St. Charles Co., Mo (died 1834) and that John Morris, who was in
Clark Co., Ohio with John Callison, died in St. Charles Co., Mo (died before
1846). The St. Charles has always been a puzzle to me. His wife and two
children had apparently died before his will was written. His daughter had married
her cousin, Arthur Callison. He had 7 grandchildren in Clark Co at the time his
will was written?? When did he go to St. Charles and why???? I cannot find him
in any census records. Apparently his son, Richard and brother, Benjamin
served in the War of 1812 with the John Callison family. John did sell some land
in Clark Co in 1818 so was still living there at the time..
Rena, where was Ann Flack Callison in 1840. Anyone else with any St. Charles,
MO connections.
Clark County, Ohio Will Book II, Pages 278-9 - John Morris of St. Charles
