Marilyn -
I know that Absalom Callison and Ann Flack's son, Robert Callison, was
enumerated in St. Charles Co. in 1840. He was listed as R.F. Callerson
in the Dardienne Township. He has one son under 5, under between 5 and
10, and one daughter under 5. He is listed as between 20 and 30, and
his wife as between 30 and 40. This is a little older than I believe
his wife to have been. They were living next door to her parents,
Joseph Baugh. I suppose I have thought all this time that Ann lived
with her son, Robert. Just never checked it out. She might have been
living with either Benjamin or Alexander - or both - but I can not find
them in the census. I am still looking. Neither of them ever married.
Let you know what I find.
Rena
No Morris, though, that I can locate.

Subject: [CALLISON] Absolom Callison and John Morris
Rena, Just wondering if anyone attaching any significance to the fact
that
Absolom was in St. Charles Co., Mo (died 1834) and that John Morris, who
was in
Clark Co., Ohio with John Callison, died in St. Charles Co., Mo (died
before
1846). The St. Charles has always been a puzzle to me. His wife and two
children had apparently died before his will was written. His daughter
had married
her cousin, Arthur Callison. He had 7 grandchildren in Clark Co at the
time his
will was written?? When did he go to St. Charles and why???? I cannot
find him
in any census records. Apparently his son, Richard and brother, Benjamin
served in the War of 1812 with the John Callison family. John did sell
some land
in Clark Co in 1818 so was still living there at the time..
Rena, where was Ann Flack Callison in 1840. Anyone else with any St.
Charles,
MO connections.
Clark County, Ohio Will Book II, Pages 278-9 - John Morris of St.
Charles
County, MO., written 27 June 1827; probated 9 June 1846.
Left ½ of his land to his grandchild, John Callison, son of daughter,
Catharine Morris Callison deceased; and the remaining half to his other
grandchildren: Jane; John; Mary Ann; Susanna; Rachel; Richard, children
of son Richard
Morris deceased. 160 acres of Clark co. Land "lying between the Miami
River in
the southwest 1/4 Section 5 Twp.. 3 Range 10" Executor was Saul Henkel
