Ann, You and I may be the only one who thinks that the William who died in
1849 that was married to Elizabeth was the same William who was the son of
Moses. I don't see how the family with Eliz in 1850 can be anyone different than
the family of William in 1840. Anyway, Colbert was pretty easy to follow --
ending up in Arkansas. I think that Eliz. lived with him or one of his siblings
along the way. Wonder if there are any death records in MO that early or
anything for Elizabeth OR the children naming their parents-- from Arkansas records.
How did you attribute this family to Moses?? Take care. Marilyn
Actually I read the following record myself -- this was from ancestry -- and
I interpreted it as Callison age 28 ( I think) which is still the wrong age
but one just never knows about the accuracy of those census takers-- could
have
been 38 just as easily. These records were at the end of the census and
included those who died June 1849- June 1850 (Again, I think this is right).
There
were NO Cullisons in MO in 1850. I have already noted all the CALLISONS in
Dallas Co and all attributed to Moses -- except children Elizabeth 12 TN,
John 9,
TN, Jesse 6 MO Jasper 3 MO living in Reuben Richardson household from TN. Not
sure how these children fit into the family except possibly a Richardson
female married a Callison male and they were in TN
Name: William Cullison
Age: 23
Gender: M
Marital Status: Married
Birth Place: Ohio
Death Date: Aug
Mortality Records of 1850 and Mortality Records of 1860
Dallas County, Missouri District 26
In 1860 C.B. (Colbert) is living in the home of his future in laws in Webster
Co., MO William and Julia Caple. Moses is living in the same Twp.
Also in Webster Co, MO are Hiram and Absolom Callison, sons of Moses, and
their families -- in the same Twp
Also James and Elen Callison -- Now this James (34) was living by Elizabeth
Callison along with Colbert in 1850 where he had KY as place of birth and now
he says he was born in Indiana -- we have him as a son of Moses.
There are 4 CALLISON families in Ark in 1880,
This David -- son of ? William, ?grandson of Moses Father and Mother born OH.
They
were in Izard Co. AR and came from TN. This county is near the MO border
C.B (Colbert B.) (brother to David) son of ? William, ?grandson of Moses
Father
born IN mother born OH. They were in Fulton Co which borders Izard Co., AR
and on
the MO border
Peyton, son of Robert, grandson of William Sr., greatgrandson of James and
Isabel father born VA, Mother KY. They were in Washington Co. AR -- near the MO
and OK border.
This family went to Chariton Co. MO after KY
Louis ? son of Robert, ?grandson of James Jr, greatgrandson of James and
Isabel Father born VA mother born SC. They were in Saline Co., AR right in the
middle of the
state.
I need some discussion with some Moses descendants because I. really think
this line (Elizabeth in 1850) needs to be addressed on our master site --
even
with a note that it is different from family history.
Seems like there was another line who went to Arkansas at some point also.
Can anyone connect these dots. Take care. Marilyn
