Thanks Marilyn! This is great. At least I can walk some of the land where the Callisons
roamed. Danny

Subject: [CALLISON] James Callison land
Well with ALOT of help from Augusta Co mail list, the property that James
Callison lived on in the Beverly Patent had Folly Creek flowing through it. On a
map of VA if you find Staunton and go south on Hwy. 11, you will cross Folly
Creek about 2 miles out of town. Now I can't tell you exactly where on the
creek that his land was located but this gives you a pretty good idea. From what I
can understand so far, it was closer to the end where it joins Christian
Creek. Here is topozone map showing the area.

If you look back at the Beverly Patent map -- the little line running on the
east side of Callison land --- that is Folly Creek.
I am still dealing in land records for Callison neighbors to try to pinpoint
the location a little better.
Take care all. Marilyn
