Jim, please remind me of your Callison line. Sometimes it takes a year or so to get
results from Sorenson. It's so good that you went ahead and did the test because they
are no longer doing them. I'll be checking Sorenson frequently now that I know I might
have a nice surprize one day. One thing with genealogy -- we are always here -- when you
get time. My husband mentions occasionally that we have bellsouth accounts with our
wireless system but also pay an aol account. There is no way that I am going to change my
long standing email address -- I might miss a message from someone new or someone wanting
to reconnect again. <smile> Take care. Marilyn
PS -- no results back on Sorenson for you yet. <sigh>

Hi Marylin. Not sure if you remember me but I did speak to you on the phone as
well a while back. I forgot to let you know that I did the DNA kit from Sorenson
about 4 or 5 months ago. I can't wait to see the results. I have been very busy
and have had to put the genealogy stuff on hold for now.

Hi all, we just got back from a little R and R in Georgia and the DNA results
from the line from James who married Isabel Jones are back. I thought that
Suzanne and I had ordered 67 markers but had only done 37. We can always upgrade
later BUT this line from James, presumed son of William, matches 37/37 with line
of Joseph, known son of William so this fact combined with the fact that James
was in Washington Co., OH with William and also in Gallia Co. with William
pretty much confirms that he was the son of William. The matches are not posted
online -- but I have all of the results in my own files. On the 37 markers --
the line from Joseph, son of William; Arthur, line of John Sr;. Hiram and now
James, son of William all match 37/37 while my line of Charles, line of John Sr.
is 36/37. Additionally, one line from the thrice married James, is 36/37 and a
line from Absolem tested on Sorenson so only tested 33 of the 37 markers BUT
they all matched exactly.
As mentioned in earli!
er emails, The three lines from Moses all have the same reversed numbers on two
of the markers. Does not help confirm the father of Moses but links them all as
lines from Moses. More lines from Moses would be helpful to confirm this
mutation that possibly happened with Moses. In two of the three lines from
Moses, these are the ONLY differences from the majority on 37 markers. Two lines
from two other sons of the thrice married James Callison also have matches of
35/37. The two lines with greater differences than 35/37 are one line from Moses
but he has the reversed numbers of the other two lines from Moses so fits well
and then Joyce's Samuel -- who has no place to roost yet. <sad> Even though we
can't tell if William or John is the parent of Hiram, Moses, Absolom, we can
tell that there is a close relationship between them and the sons of the thrice
married James.
Four lines have been tested to 67 markers -- Joseph, son of William; Hiram;
Arthur and Charles, lines of John Sr.
At the end of 67 markers,
Joseph, line of William and Arthur, line of John Sr (brother to William) still
match 67/67
Hiram, son of ?, matches 66/67
Charles, line of John Sr matches 66/67
Hiram and Charles have mutations on different numbers.
Again, more people tested and more people upgrading to 67 would tell us more and
more but hey -- we are doing GREAT with as many people as we have.
I have a a document about 5 pages long with DNA results and my discussion of
same (very unscientific) if anyone wants a copy. It's kinda fun to compare your
own results. Take care. Marilyn
