Hi Marilyn,
Glad to hear you're on the mend. I have several friends who've had that
surgery and are now doing very well.
Did you post the results of Ben's DNA and I missed it? We've been having
health problems of our own, so my mind has been in a bit of a fog. To make
a very long story short--the doctors have finally gotten to the bottom of my
husbands vague, but real symptoms. He finally came down with pneumonia,
which turned out to be a good thing because they stuck him in the hospital
(for 12 days) and finally started doing tests, He has pure red cell
aplaysia. His bone marrow isn't making red blood cells any more. He's had
9 blood transfusions in about a 6 weeks time. There's no cancer, thank
goodness. They're suspecting that his diabetes medication is causing it.
Have a happy Thanksgiving and let all the others that'll be in your house do
the work!!
Susanne

Subject: [CALLISON] it's me
Hi all, Yes, I
am still around and kicking -- although not kicking as much as I hope
to in the future. Got a new knee the middle of September and my life
now revolves around how much I can straighten and bend my knee and all
the work it takes to get it where it needs to be. Actually my knee is
GREAT but my muscles are SORE and I ahve developed numbness and pain in
the sole of my foot from the alternating pressure booties that they put
on after surgery. Knee still swells easily so I take alot of time with
it propped up and with ice bags. But NO PAIN in my knee at all. Not
able to sit for long periods but thankfully my computer is a laptop. I
have been busy proofing the Callison encyclopedia. I wrote to Jackson
Co., OH mail list to offer my 300 pages of notes on Elizabeth Callison
Buckley and NO ONE took me up on the offer. I can send a file to anyone
interested in any of the children of John and Jane -- maybe not proofed
and without pictures added at this time but so many of you have helped
me so much that I want to make sure that you have something concreste
in your hot little hands -- on your family. Guess I'll go to the
Buckley mail list to make my offer on Elizabeth. Weather is gorgeous
here -- cool in the AM and warm in the PM. We are having all the family
here for Thanksgiving so going to splurge and order the dinner to be
picked up on Wednesday. Just not sure that I am ready to cook
Thanksgiving dinner for 22 people even though it is my favorite meal to
cook. Kids used to all live here and everyone made part of the meal but
that was in times past. Anyone meet any new Callison relatives lately?
Take care all. Marilyn
