www.familytreedna.com for info on DNA testing. You are
lucky that there are some surviving males. Many of the people that I communicate
with would LOVE to have that situation --- but only have surviving females in
their lines and thus the wonderful genetic "y" chromosome for that particular
line is lost forever. <sad> Some surname sites are setting up funds for $$$
help for those males whose DNA is needed but $$$ are not handy. I don't know of
any funds for our Callison surname though. Y'all think about it. There are so
many knowledgable people willing to help navigate your results. I have joined
a couple of genealogy DNA mail lists. One strickly for newbies --- ME -- and
the other one much more technical. I don't understand most of the info on that
one but they are always willing to answer my questions at my level. So take
