Just going through some old notes of mine
Early Kentucky householder 1787-1811 by James Sutherland I make note that
July 8, 1801 Joseph Callison and Absolom Callison were listed on the same
day, book and page for taxes Lincoln Co. Ky
This was the only year that Absolom was listed
August 15, 1807 Joseph and William Callison were listed on the same day, book
and page. See note for 1808
1808 Joseph Callison and William Callison were listed on the same day, book
and page (This should be William who married Marian Chapman because William,
father of Joseph was in Gallia Co.,Ohio at the time)
June 21, 1809 Joseph and Robert Callison were listed on the same day, book
and page. Robert was listed about 1 week earlier in 1807 and different book and
page in 1808
I don't know the significance of the proximity of these people but seems like
it might be a clue. We know that Joseph and Robert are siblings but Absolom
and William are unknowns.
With the surname spelled KELLISON in the book
ABsolom is the first to appear in 1799 and is listed 1800, 1802
