Does anyone have any ideas about this Mulatto CALLISON who died in Virginia?
I guess the William J. Callison is our William J who married Isabel Harris. I
would think possibly that the Sallie might have been a slave who took the
name of her owner after the Civil War but no clue about this. The mulatto
designation is interesting. Any ideas? She is listed right under William in this
mortality schedule but has no last name on the photocopy and I cant see any mark
to designate a "ditto" or otherwise for her surname Take care.
