Just putting my opinion out there for any discussion
Agnes (Nancy) CALLISON married Thomas Blair in Greenbrier Co., VA 1795. This one has
always been a puzzle to me. What was she doing in Greenbrier -- how did she get there--
who did she go with. Her brothers had been there for 20 years. Now the other question --
did they have divorces back in that time period -- is there ANY CHANCE of a snowball in
you know where-- that this Agnes might be the wife of William. I just can't puzzle out
her presence in Greenbrier. We have two other early Nancy's married about the same
time. Nancy who married Joseph Boiler in Greenbrier VA and Nancy who married Shadrack
Newenham 1806 in Gallia OH -- we have three possibly fathers of Nancy -- William (the
elder), John (the elder) and John who married Elizabeth Cutlip and had an illigitimate
daughter but this Nancy would be too old for that child. I just think that this Nancy
Calison Blair is the daughter of either William or John. Anyone got any thoughts? Take
care. Marilyn
