I need some big time help with this question -- probably from Jim and Joyce -- and anyone
else who has done research in these areas.
We have ONE James Callison who married Sarah Craig in Rhea Co., TN about 1816 or so. Son
of James and Anne Gillespie Callison.
We have a James Callison with a brother Samuel who went to New Orleans from Texas to get
ammunition for battles in Texas
We have James Callison who died in 1838 in Battle of Refugio, Texas. -- What do we have to
show that this is the same James who married Sarah Craig in TN? There is some confusion
with his heirs being named PARKHILL instead of CRAIG. Could this James have been married
to a PARKHILL and the other James with the brother named Samuel been the one who married
CRAIG.
We have James Callison who married Jane Sargeant in 1841 Colorado Co., TX. Could he be
the same one who married Sarah Craig -- in a second marriage
ONLINE file -- for whatever it is worth -- has this James as James Henry Callison born
Trump Run, Virginia but I can find no James in the Trump Run family who might fit this
James
Just throwing a few WHAT IF"S out there for discussion. Not trying to upset any
applecarts. Any and all documentation would be helpful. Maybe Mark can put them online so
I don't have to keep asking the same questions over and over.
No formal report from
familytreedna.com but results of line from Samuel who had the
brother James puts them
in the same Callison ancestry as the rest of us.
Take care. Marilyn
