So, would you say we are closest to Moses? Guess I need to see about a 67 test.

Joyce, I am going to check to see if you are added to the Callison list so that
I can compare your results. If I have my notes right (that is what I want to
double check) You were different on Allele
# 459 b -- the only one (specific to you) I think this is the only SLOW
mutating marker in your batch but will double check it.
464 b and d - Share the same with two others who are one number lower than the
majority on b and you alone have two numbers lower on d but this is a fast
mutating marker so not unusual
456 -- you are one number higher than majority and two lines are one number
lower -- all comes out in the wash
CDYb- you alone are one number higher than the rest of us. FYI, a line from
thrice married James is one number lower -- This is another fast mutating marker
It helps to look at the overall results all in one place to get a feel for the
other ones with differences. I don't see you added to the Cullison group
yet. How many markers did you get tested
So what does all of this tell us-- NO CLUE--Definitely a common ancestor with
the rest of the group but no idea which common ancestor. In comparing your
results with Hiram, William Sr., John Sr (one line) and Absolom -- (genetic
difference of 6)
Now interesting FamilytreeDNA has you with only one match in 37 markers with a
difference of 4 and that is with the line from John Sr. listed above. Cannot
understand why should match
all four the people above with the same results. And apparently they counted
all the difference on marker 464 a,b,c,d as just a difference of one. You should
have quite a few Callison matches of 12/12 except for those who did not sign the
release forms but I am almost positive that Hiram's line did.
NO ONE has exactly the same results except the four listed above.
In comparing your results with the 2nd line of John Sr you have genetic
difference of 7 ( FTM would say 5)
In comparing your results with one of three lines from the thrice married
James (Gilmore) -- you have genetic difference of 7 (FTM would say 5)
In comparing your results with # 2 of the three lines from thrice married James
(Ken) - you have genetic differece of 6 (FTM would say 4)
In comparing your results with # 3 of the three lines from thrice married james
(Kirk) - you have genetic differenc of 6 (FTM would say 5)
In comparing your results with # 1 line from Moses you have genetic difference
of 8 (FTM would say 4)
In comparing your results with # 2 line from Moses you have genetic difference
of 8 (FTM would say 4)
FTM counts markers rather than actual results.
But in looking at all the results you can see that each has one slow mutating
marker and the rest bounce around close together in the fast moving markers.
All of the diffe
rences in ALL of the results are on fast moving markers for mutations. The only
slow markers are
Line from Moses at 392
You at 459 b and
Line from John Sr at 438 - BUT on 67 markers, this is the only difference with
the other line from John Sr with John Jr. being the Most recent common ancestor
Marilyn,
I never did figure out exactly who you said Samuel was most like and most
likely
to be descended from. This was supposed to put my long quest to rest. Just made
me crazier.

OK gang, I played around with Sorenson to check out the one marker that ABsolom
had different than the majority of us and we all have 13 and he had an 18 which
blew my mind -- that much difference. So I sent a note to a newbie DNA forum
asking about the different companies and comparing Sorenson with family tree
and
just got a reply. An 18 on Sorenson on marker 442 is the same a
s a 13 on
famlytreemaker so on the 32 markers that this descendant from Absolom that were
the same markers that we had checked. He matched 32/32 with lines from Hiram,
William Sr. and two lines from John Sr. I need to see if I can find a contact
person for Absolom's line to invite him to look at our results also. Take
care. Marilyn
