Marilyn - About Susannah Callison and the "bastard child" is a good
question. Somehow, I don't think the child was reared by her - does anyone
know what the custom was? Who reared said children? All accounts I have of
her and her husband, William Flack, and their children reflect their oldest
child as John, who was born after their marriage.

had the "bastard child" in Bath Co within six months past of May 1793 was
the same Susannah who married the Flack gentleman in Kentucky. Guess I am
trying to figure out was there one Susannah or two Susannah -- not that it
makes any difference. Sure do wish that we had another William in the early
time period besides William who married Marian Chapman. Most of the families
from James and Isabel had the trilogy of William, James and John. We have
two James and we have two Johns who can probably be attributed to William
and John, sons of James and Isabel but only one William -- unless he died or
went elsewhere when he would be old enough to be have some records. Thinking
of unknowns -- Joyce when is the DNA supposed to be back. Hopefully before
too much longer. I think Robert, son of James and Isabel had the trilogy but
only know!
of a James and Robert and ? John for James Jr. son of James and Isabel.
Hmmmm. One of our problems is that William (the elder William) is missing
from tax records in the time period that any males would be coming
titheable. Anyway, just thinking out loud, as usual. <smile> Take care all,
Marilyn
