OK gang, we finally got the DNA results back from Moses line and John Jr.
line. It took 37 markers to get a difference in the two lines. We actually have 2
lines from Moses but one line had a mutation early in the sequence which is
now a specific identity for Louis, son of Moses. Moses and John lines differ on
2/37 so without more to compare we can't tell if one line had two mutations
or each line had 1 mutation. I am inclined to think that each had 1 mutation
but just need more people tested.
Assuming that Moses is the son of William, we can tell that James (of James
and Isabella) had the same DNA on 37 markers except for the 2 that don't match.
If Moses is the son of John Sr, then we can only tell that John Sr. had the
same markers since Moses and John Jr would be from the same line and not from
brothers
IF Moses is from William, then we MIGHT can start to put lines together into
William and John Sr. lines based on the two markers that differ -- one might
be William's line and one might be John Sr. line
We need a known line from William to compare and then another line from John
Sr to start separating the lines genetically.
Pretty exciting. Take care. Marilyn
