Robert COLESON ?1811
These men were listed as Callison/Kellison/Kellyson/Calison/Kellason -- there
were no COLLISON or CULLISON varieties.
So from this we can see that Absolom and Joseph lived near each other as
early as 1801. Absolom was the first one in the area and then Joseph moved nearby.
We don't know where William (the elder one) was living at the time. Does not
appear to be in Kentucky. William (the elder) was in Gallia Co., OH. by
1806. We KNOW that Robert and Joseph are sons of William (the elder). Had Robert
been living with William SOMEWHERE until William went to Ohio in 1806 and then
he joined his brother. The William in these tax records should be the same one
who married Marian Chapman because the older William is in Ohio at this time.
Now back to Robert -- by August 1812 Robert and John Callison were serving.
for Gallia Co, OH in the War of 1812. John had been there since 1806 when
William was first listed. By 1817 William (the elder) and Robert were both in KY
where they married. John was killed in 1813 in the War.
So how do Absolom, William (the elder), William in KY, Joseph, Robert and
John relate to each other??? Cousins, siblings,???
