1797 Greenbrier Co., VA titheable
1800 - 1803 Lincoln Co., KY
1809 - 1822-- Gerrard Co., KY
In my notes for Gerrard Co., KY, I did not find reference to any other
Callison/Kellison.
The son of Hiram was involved in a land deal for a piece of land "lying in
Madison and Garrard Counties" so I looked these counties up and see that they
were next to each other. Hiram's sons ( I think the land was actually via his
daughter in law's family)- Melinda Oglesby Callison) land was on Paint Lick
Creek and Absolom's was on Dix/Dick's River so that is another project to look
up. I found no other mention of Callison land in Madison Co., KY
Garrard County was founded because of it's proximity to the Wilderness Road.
It is bordered on the west by the Dix River, on the north by the Kentucky
River and on the east by Paint Lick Creek. Both Paint Lick Creek and the Dix
River are tributaries of the Kentucky River
