Just looking at tax records for Alexander and for Moses. Is there a marriage record for
Moses in Pike Co (not sure if it was Ross Co at the time). Maybe it was taken from his War
of 1812 record. I'll have to check on that. Anyway, the date on our webpage is 1807 --
just reaffirming that he went to the area before Alexander. We know that Alexander and
John Jr. both left after paying tax in 1809. Now wondering when Nancy Callison Boiler
left. I have a note that Joseph Boiler/Bailes was in Bath Co. in 1804 but don't see
any other note about them. I was not looking specifically for them but sometimes they were
so close to the Callisons that you could not miss them. On that year, they paid their tax
on the same day that Alexnader, John Jr, John Sr.and Anthony Callison paid tax.
In 1805 John Sr had an extra tithable male with him. Could this be Moses and did he then
go to Pike Co with Nancy Callison Boiler and her husband. Were they siblings?
In 1802 James Morrison paid his tax on the same day as Alexander and John Callison Jr. He
was married to Elizabeth Callison who (in my estimation) is a daughter of John Sr. It
would be interesting to try to find a direct female line from both Elizabeth Callison
Morrison and Nancy Callison Boiler (Might as well throw in Nancy Callison Newenham and
Nancy Callison Blair to complete the picture <smile>) for DNA comparison. My wish
list could also include a direct female line from Jane Callison Morris for future
reference (she would be a direct line from Isabel) and would answer the question if Nancy
Callison Blair is the d/o James and Isabel.
Let's see if I live another 25 years -- who knows?
Take care. Marilyn
