I know the Sewards, Massie's are other lines that came from Greenbriar
to Jackson County,
The Massie family (descended from Jeptha Massie/Massey b ca 1755 m. Mary
Seward)
moved then into Lawrence County where many of them remain.

Diannah, John Shumate married Rachel Gibson in 1814 Greenbrier Co, Va.
In
1815 their son, Harrison Shumate was born. Up to this time, John Jr. and Jane
McClure Callison had married in 1789 Greenbrier Co. Va. They had a daughter
married 1809 Bath Co Virginia to William Buckley and moved to Ohio. William and
Elizabeth Callison Buckley ended up in Jackson Co. Ohio where their daugher,
Sabina, married Harrison Shumate from whom there are descendants still in Jackson
Co. Children and Grandchildren of William and Eliz. Buckley married into the
Gilliland, Stephenson, Shumate lines who were in Greenbrier Co. Since Jackson
Co is known as "Little Greenbrier" because of the migration pattern, that is
not too surprizing. Now would like to find out how many of the other surnames in
Jackson connected to the Callisons were in Greenbrier. I know the above
mentioned ones and also McClures and Elliotts. Take care all
