This site is from the Annals of Bath County. It has all the early land
records. In searching for Callison, I find James in 1860 with an entry that I had
for Augusta County sooooo the conclusion that I draw is that this portion of
land in Augusta eventually ended up in Bath Co. I love this site even though it
takes some studying to wade through it. I know that some portions of land along
Jackson's River ended up in Bath Co.

Wilson, George 175--JR n Cedar Creek--P, 1759 (?) James Callison-- sold,
1760, to James Bourland for 30p, and by him to Rowland Madison--sold by Madison,
1787, to James Elliot for 100p and by James Elliot, 1791, to Moses Mann for
250p.
Isn't it neat that we know that James Callison had descendants who married
children of James Elliott. The site gives the formula for converting the
monetary pounds to Dollars so the 30p would be $100 and then when James Elliott sold
it 30 years later the 250p would be over $800. Let me know if you find any
good tidbits on this site. Take care.
