I don't know a lot about the families, but I know a little bit about the
Callison side. Sarah was obviously married before she married James
Callison in Tn. as her name was not Parkhill at that time, but I have
never been able to find who he was. James Callison died at Goliad when
Santa Anna and the Mexican army came into Texas. What information are
you looking for. The children of James Callison are named as his heirs
in some records at the Land Office. I do not know if his wife ever came
to Texas, but one son, John Gillespie Callison, was definitely in Texas.
I think maybe the others just sold their land and never came to Texas.
One son, Tyler Callison, obviously died as he just shows one time and
then is missing in all of the fllowing information. I believe there were
four daughters, and John Gillespie Callison. He died in Texas about 1865.

Looking for someone to tie the McClung family with the Parkhills and
Callisons.
My 2g-granfather (James William Parkhill) was one of 11 children. His sister Sara married
a Callison in Tennessee about 1812. Then in the 1850's in Texas my
g-grandfather's sister Martha Jane Parkhill married a Stephen Barker in Lamar County,
Texas. They had 5 children, namely one Marian McClung Barker. Would like any information
regarding any of the above information, if anyone has any answers.
