I will hunt up the names but I have no idea of the ages. Also, Samuel
Callison, my ancestor, was "assumed" to be the youngest child of James
and Ann. Unfortunately, there is no list of their children, as you know.
He was born in Tenn., went to Ala with John Gillespie Calliison, I
think, and then married Ida Orlena Box. John Gillespie Callison was in
Blount Co., Ala. and Samuel left on a wagon train for Texas in 1834 from
Blount Co., Ala. His sons were named James Crockett and John Gillespie.
Samuel was named Samuel C. Callison, and I have no idea what the C. was
for, but wonder if it could have been Crockett, which would make sense.
I don't know about a lawsuit, but there are marriage records for Robert
and James, and John is mentioned in connection with a wedding. I think
these were in Rhea County. I have all of the records from Rhea County,
and I think that James moved out of there about 1813, from what I
remember, or at least he sold his land. Ther was later a lawsuit that he
was a part to. Maybe you are thinking about that.
There were three John Gillespie Callisons. The first one was the son of
James and Anne, the second was the son of James and Sarah Parkhill
Craig, and the third was the son of Samuel Callison. They all three
ended up in Texas. John Gillespie Callison, son of James, was a sweetie.
He filed a paper stating that he and his mother, Sarah, and one sister,
forgot which one, were the only heirs of James Callison, and tried to
cut the others out. Later he tried to sell off their land by posing as
their legal rep. They got a little upset and filed suit against him. It
is intereting to see how much siblings cared for each other!

Sarah was obviously married before she married James
Callison in Tn. as her name was not Parkhill at that time, but I have
never been able to find who he was.
James Callison Jr (of James1) and Anne Gillespie married in 1794 Knox Co. Tn.
James' brother in law, George McNutt, husband of his sister, Isabel, was
surety for their marriage. I think they went back to Augusta Co for some period
after their marriage. Can anyone confirm that from tax or land records.
Anyway they had Robert and James -- (isnt' there a court case about a John
also) and possibly Margaret and Eloner. Robert, Margaret and Eloner went to
Alabama
Robert married Sidney Faries in Roane Co, Tenn and went to Alabama
Sarah CRAIG married James Callison in Roane Co.Tennessee (Don't remember if
it was 1816 or 1818. So are we looking for a marriage of Sarah Parkhill and a
---- Craig.
James married Sarah Craig and he died in Texas, leaving children. Jim, can
you or Joyce send me the names and the ages for these children and anything you
have on James and Sarah. I think we have Robert as a child of James and Ann
on the website but need to add James and his family also.
Take care all
Marilyn
