Good morning group, the latest DNA results are back for the third line of James and
Elizabeth McAllister Callison -- up to 37 markers. He has one mutation from the rest of
the group. So on marker # 35, the three lines from James and Elizabeth have 3 different
results 37, 38, and 39. ALL the lines (tested so far)?from James and Isabel have 38. The
only conclusion for this marker is that James ( Isabel) had 38 for his marker and no
conclusion?on that marker for?James (Elizabeth). At this point, the conclusion can be made
that both of the James shared the same other 36 markers.
Also now we cannot say what the ancestral results were for #35. This would represent the
results for the most recent?COMMON ancestor (possibly the grandfather of James
(Elizabeth). Could have been 37, 38 OR 39. IF it was 39 and since ALL of James (Isabel)
lines match with 38 then that family line mutation occurred with James (Isabel)?himself or
a generation earlier if he was not the uncle of James (Elizabeth).
You have to think that the relationship between the two James was pretty close since they
were so closely connected in this country.
For now, marker # 37 will remain in limbo. We don't have enough people tested to
determine when the three different?results mutated. All three may have started with 38.
The way to work on this is to test other lines from grandsons of James (Elizabeth) or to
test lines from the other sons of James.
Still waiting on the 67 results from the second line from John Jr. (Jane McClure) and
eventually need to think about 67 markers on lines of Hiram and William
Take care all. Thanks for all the participation in this project. Marilyn
