Does anyone have any info for this person. She put a query on Callison
genforum.com page. I know that the family of Robert Callison, son of James and
Isabella, went to Callaway Co but I know of no one in Montgomery Co., MO.
Let me know. Take care

"I found a tree of a cousin like showing Daora married Guy Callison yet a
letter from her in later years says she is going to visit her coyusin Guy
Callison, how many Guy Callisons were in Montgomery/Calloway/St Louis counties in
Missouri?
I understand some of these Start- Callison lines are published in a book
called History of Stuart family on pages 62 & 63 and I checked the Library of
Congress site for the publication and can't find it. The Callison line I am
interested in descend from Jacob Warwick Stuart and Mary Ann Huffman. Somewhere in
the Huffman line is a genetic form of lung cancer. 3 generations plus 2
siblings besides myself in my family have been afflicted with it and several women in
this Callison/Stuart/ Huffman line have also succomb to it.The last Callison
that I know of was Joyce Callison who died either in Wellsville Missouri or
Wisconsin last May. Our families have worked with the genetic researchers who
are looking into the hereditary feature of lung cancer. Our blood samples have
revealed a gene for it but the researchers do not know when or if they will
ever have a solution for this or even a specific test for future generations.
I've never met these Missouri kin some of whom are first cousin to my grandfather
who was the first in my line to died from the cancer in 1971.My mom died from
it in 1986, a sister in 1988 another had it and beat itin 1990 and I was
diagnosed in Nov 2001. Part of the reason I took up family research was to find
out where this horrible disease came from. After having 18 tumors spread to my
brain, I don't research as well as I used to although I still have the
passion/addiction for it. I thank you in advance for any info you can pass along for
this Callison line."
