Subject: [CALLISON] Margaret Rebecca Callison
Hi group, Some of you may know that Tay Aston <taybird> had
been trying to
find the parents of her Margaret Rebecca Callison Aston for quite a
while --
quite a long while in fact. The only Margaret Rebecca that we have nothing
on in
the Callison file was the daughter of Elisha Callison, son of James and
Mary
Callison Callison. The interesting thing was Margaret Rebecca Callison
named
her son, William Henry Callison which was the same name that Elisha named
a
son. So it has been in the back of our minds for awhile that the two
Margaret
Rebeccas were actually the same person. Well Tay found this tonight on the
Mongtomery County, Virginia site
17-Sep 1857 Charles S Aston Margaret R
Callison
11-Dec 1855 Samuel A B Gilmer Sallie E
Callison
And------- Sallie Callison is the daughter of Elisha Callison
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is just a red letter day for Tay and for me also.
Any and all feedback about Margaret Rebecca is most welcome. Tay, you
might
want to get the actual certificate to see if there was any surety or any
other
info. I have early Montgomer Co. marriages for another line and they list
a
bondsman. Take care all
Marilyn
