HI Rena, could you send me any early stuff on Absolom. When and Where did he
and Ann marry. Do you have a copy of his estate that might be helpful. What
years was he on the tax record in Kentucky. Was he ever on tax record Virginia.
Where was he in 1810, 1820, 1830 census?? Did he own any land in St. Charles
County or in Kentucky and if so, when and where did he get it. and when did he
sell it. Just any statistics on his life.
I actually am thinking along the lines that Elizabeth Callison Morrison who
used the names, Alexander, Absolom and Gillespie is the sister of my John
Callison so am trying to find a connection for the lines who used these names.
Early researchers thought that Alexander who married Rebecka Kellison was a sister
to John also since Alex, my John and John (his father) were all listed at the
same time for tax record in 1805. So possibly-- Absolom and Alexander (who
named a son Absolom) and Elizabeth were all children of John Callison, son of
James and Isabella. I hope I get some response from others in the group to help
me out with this. THEN if I can prove a connection, I am going to work on the
idea that John, son of James and Isabelle MIGHT have been married to a
GILLESPIE -- possibly Elizabeth. I have found an Alexander Gillespie in Augusta Co.,
Va in same general area that John would have lived but much more work needs to
be done on that part. Right now, just working on Alexander, Gillespie and
Absolom names. Take care. Let me knwo about Absoloms statistics. TAke care
