I am trying to put together what little knowledge that we have on the John
Callison who married Elizabeth Cutlip for the Cutlip database and need some help.
One method I am using is trying to create a time line for the Cutlip family
to merge into the William Callison had a known son, John, who MIGHT be the same
John who married Elizabeth Cutlip.
It would be helpful to have proximity for these families in Greenbrier Va,
Gallia Oh and Ross/Pike Co., Oh. The reasoning for the Newenham and Boiler info
is that there were two Nancy Callison who married into these lines soooooooo
was one Nancy the daughter of William and one Nancy the daughter of John
(brother to William) or was one Nancy the daughter of John (son of William)
The Boiler family was in Pike Co so it would be good to know the proximity to
Moses and Alexander in that county. Keep in mind also that in that county at
a later date, there was a Samuel Callison and a Margaret Callison who both
married into the Downing family. Samuel is thought to be the same one that shows
up in 1850 Tippecanoe, Indiana. If so, he was born 1801 Virginia!!!!!!! Could
he be a son of John Callison and Eliz. Cutlip???
So many questions. I have William's time line -- such as it is under control
with the help of John (roundmt) but could use help on the Cutlip, Newenham and
Boiler families the latter of which, I am not sure that there is anyone
working on it.
OK our unknowns -- just to keep them in everyone's mind
Hiram -- to Kentucky -- probably illigitimate son of a male or female child
of James and Isabel
Alexander -- to Pike Co., Ohio-- listed on same date on tax record as John Jr
and Sr.
Absolom -- to Kentucky
Elizabeth Callison Morrison -- I THINK is sibling to my John Callison which
adds James as a sibling who died in 1827 Greenbrier Co
William J. -- "returned" to Augusta from Bath Co
William who married Marian Chapman
Tay's Margaret Rebecca who I THINK is daughter of Elisha-- she is waiting on
a marriage record to see if any help
Issac who married Cynthia Robinson -- stayed in part of Va that became WV
Daniel -- is he Callison or Kellison. daughter married Alexander. He lived
next door to Elizabeth Callison Morrison.
Newnenham and Boiler families both named sons, Absolom along with Alexander
and the Morrison family AND the William who married Marian Chapman. Probably
others in our unknown list and other Absoloms but it is too late tonight to use
any more brain cells.
Take care all
