Hello folks,
Anyone out there know anything about the following information.
On Tuesday, November 25, 1845 Allen H. Parkhill gave petitions to sell the land and the
estate. (Marshall County, Alabama) The heirs mentioned were Emily Jane, Julia Ann and
Travis Parkhill who lived out of the state. In fact they were living in Kentucky. These
were the children of Dr. John Parkhill who had married Sara Clapp in Huntsville AL area in
1820. They later moved to Calloway County in Western KY with the Clapp Family. John died
in 1842 and Sara married John's friend, Dr. Caleb Jones. Montgomery Gilbreath was
appointed Guardian during the interim or the proceeding for the following minor children:
Travis, Martha Ann, Eliza Jane and Emily Elizabeth Callison, along with Martha Jane, James
And John Parkhill. Travis, Martha Ann, Eliza Jane and Emily Elizabeth Callison were
the children of James Henry Callison and Sara Parkhill Craig Callison. Martha Jane, James
and John Parkhill were children of James, also known as John William Parkhill.

This is from a database of earlist TN land records
We know that James Callison who was married 3 times died in Grainger Co., TN
and that his son Jesse went to Knox Co., TN
We also know that James Callison Jr son of James and Isabel was married in
Knox Co TN
So which James is this. Does anyone have access to Knoxville possibly to
check on this record # 128 but no book or page number listed. File # 5
James CALISON 640 acres Knox Co Feb. 26, 1779 at the head of Buffalow Hollow.
According to Handy Book for Genealogists, Knox Co and Grainger Co were part
of Hawkins Co., TN as late as 1790 so I guess I have figured this out that this
would probably be the thrice married James Callison.
Yes, the geographic names site has that Buffalo Hollow is a valley in
Grainger Co., TN
Take care all., Marilyn
