Hello to all the Callison cousins. I have a Callison tree online which include all of my
own collateral lines. Just wondering if anyone is interested in me creating a new one
with only the Callison family and one which each of you could add your own family lines to
it as editors. My online tree only includes descendants of John and Jane McClure Callison
but I know there are many other lines that we worked on throughout the years. Let me know
if anyone is interested in adding to a master Callison family. The down side is that I
have no way to connect the younger and the older James into the tree because I have no
idea what the relationship actually was. We have some Kellison surnamed people matching
our DNA Callison people so as expected, Daniel Kellison in Bath Co. VA probably was a
Callison as he was sometimes known. I do not know where to put him in the tree or where
to put Isaac who had the daughter Millicent but I also have DNA matches with that line
along with Margaret Callison McCutcheon who I suspect is the sister of the immigrant James
Callison who married Isabella. Then there is the problem of Moses, Alexander and Absolom
-- son of John or William? And what about Joyce's Samuel. I have always felt that he
was in the line of William who married Marian Chapman -- and what about Elizabeth Callison
Morrison ( I say, daughter of John Sr but who knows) And what about Nancy Callison Newnham
and Hiram AKA Hiram Baldwin. I am sure that I could go on and on but just shows that the
only line that a master Callison tree would include with my line would be those known
lines from James and Isabella. Anyone have any ideas? All I have to offer you at this
point, are my notes on James and Isabella and I will be glad to send those to anyone
interested. Most of you probably have all of them already. Another line that I cannot add
in is the Irish line who came to Canada 100 years after our James but who matches our DNA
perfectly. There are some trees on ancestry with many of these people connected into
families but none with any source material which just does not fly sometimes. Of course
any of you from John and Jane McClure line, I am more than happy to send you an invite to
my main tree for you to follow your line. Take care, Marilyn
