Mark, I am not sure if I have a current email for you -- if you watch this list, would you
make this correction to the master tree, please. Thanks bunchs. And just FYI --
familysearch.org-- has quite a few 1940 census records indexed, FREE, if anyone is bored
and has time on their hands. I knew my grandmother, Bessie Callison Thomas had a hard life
but this census brought it even closer. She was 55 years old, did not know the status of
her marital status since no idea where her husband was, worked as a maid in a private home
(apparently lived in), got $200 in the year 1939 with no other source of income. I know
that she had a little extra income -- my dad had to send her !/2 of his $35 navy pay a
month --so possibly, she just got her room and board for being the maid and her only
income was what my dad sent.. RIP Bessie, you earned it. Take care, Marilyn

Subject: James and Isabella Callison
Hi
I just wanted to alert you of an error in the James and Isabella Callison family tree of
which I am descendent. You have Michael Callison (1012) and William Henry Callison (1017)
as children of Elisha Callison and Elizabeth Callison. Michael and William Henry are one
in the same person. He was my great grandfather. Apparently he decided he liked the name
Mike and was later known by this. He was born August 25, 1877 and died July 25, 1942 (my
mother was 7 and remembers he was called Mike).
Before she died, I asked my great aunt to verify research that I had on my family tree and
she listed the same dates and under William Henry Bowles with the same parents - However,
I have the death notice that lists him as Mike. Since this was her father, I'm pretty
sure she was correct. In addition, I have a copy of the 1930s census and it lists Mike W H
Callison (W H standing for William Henry) as the head of household, married to Annie
Callison with three children listed - Vivian Callison (my grandmother), Virginia Callison
(great aunt who verified my info) and Gilmer Callison (great uncle).
I found an older version (1997) of this family tree online several years ago and it listed
the same Michael Callison with different children and did not list William Henry at all.
I believe it was compiled by you also as well as a few others.
Just wanted to pass this information along and hope it clears up any confusion.
