Marilyn,
Your notes are very helpful. I'm so new to this info I'm just trying to figure it
all out. I knew I had Peter & Eleanor Morrison for years until this past two weeks,
but think there is now so much more to learn.
I have been looking through the Callison mail list and searching on the internet. Heard
from a descendant of Eli Faires and Frances Morrison yesterday who thought Frances might
be the daughter of Peter and Ann Morrison. I found a marriage record for Peter Morrison
and Ann Perry on April 7, 1844 and then found them in the 1850 Lauderdale County, Alabama
Census. This Ann was too young (he was 79 and she was 60 in the 1850 census) to be the
mother of the children I've been guessing about.
I speculate Peter Senior (and up until now all I had was speculation that he was the
father of my Peter Morrison that I had knowledge of but your notes make it more realized)
was married at least three times:
1. Unknown and mother of most or all of his children
2. Polly Young married on Nov 6, 1823
3. Ann Perry on April 7, 1844 - She may also have been Ann Terry and had two children
Eliza and Daniel in the 1850 census I mentioned above.
I also found a marriage record of Rhody Morrison and John Grace and speculated she could
be a child. Without ages for the records I found online - all I had was guesswork.
I found a land plat for Peter Morrison in Lauderdale County and next to his land was one
for Jared Grisham, whom I believe married Susanna Morrison. I further speculate she was a
child of Peter.
I think Frances P. Morrison who married Eli Faires was also a daughter of Peter Sr.
I would love find the records for his estate but your notes are very helpful. OK more to
dig around with.
Thank you so much
Barbara
