Hi all, I am at a loss as to why I posted something about this person -- but anyway, I
cannot find them in my own file so am hoping that someone has them is their file and can
help this "cousin" out.. An update on Jane McClure Callison, wife of John. (son
of JOhn and grandson of James and Isabel). Had my brother tested for new family finder
test -- along with another Callison line-- from John and Jane McClure Callison. He and I
share two lines from Callison/McClure -- cousins marrying cousins down the line. Anyway,
the only match that we have in common on family finder (tests males and females back 5
generations) has a McClure in her family -- the only surname that we all have in common.
So working with her and other McClure DNA people -- and lots of PA research-- we can know
that Arthur was the son of Charles who went from Raphoe, County Donegal, Ireland to
Lancaster Co. PA and then on to Augusta Co., VA. He is related to Samuel who lived by him
in Augusta Co but NOT brothers. Such fun. Take care. Marilyn

Hi,
My name is Kaete Cavin, my grandfather was Ollie Alexander Cavin, son of Nathaniel Cavin
and Mary (Molly) Callison. You posted to Genealogy’s Forum the name Carvis, it needs to
be corrected to Cavin. I have photos of the gravesites in Rodeo, NM. Byron was my great
uncle. Do you have copies of the death certs in electronic file? I would love to see
those.
I have the lineage of the Cavin Clan going back to John Cavin in Inniscorthay, Ireland in
the early 1700s if you are interested in connecting the lines.
I would be VERY interested in any Callison, Kellison history which may be connected to my
great Grandmother. I know virtually nothing about this side of the family as Molly died
fairly young and shortly after my grandfather was born.
There was something very strange going on in families in Texas during that time too.
Molly was the second wife but the first did not die. She remained in Texas with her
father-in-law and her older children. Nathan, aka Nathaniel took a young teenaged Ollie
to Agua Prieta, NM with a herd of goats. They saw Poncho Villa’s infamous raid from a
hilltop and managed to escape with their herd up to Rodeo NM and later into Douglas,
Prescot, and finally settling in Scottsdale.
Thank you for any help you can give to this journey into my family’s colorful past.
Kaete Cavin
