A note from a Callison cousin from Japan. Take care all. Keep all the people over there
in your prayers. Marilyn
Marilyn,
In case you're interested, this is from my cousin, who lives in Japan. His
mother was a direct Callison decendant.

Hello Cousin,
I was at the office when the earthquake hit and our 3 buildings are
relatively new and designed to be earthquake-resistant and earthquake-proof.
They sit atop huge shock absorbers.
We also practice what to do in the event of a quake so all are ok.
They only problem was that after the quake all public transportation was
shut down, so I had to walk 3 miles home and Hiroko had longer to get here.
One of her daughters walked here from about 2 hours away and the other will
stay in her office tonight.
At home only a few papers, books, DVD and CD fell off shelves.
Otherwise no damage.
Our power, gas and Internet lines are working, but cellphones and land lines
are disrupted as many people are trying to use them.
No one I know was injured or worse and only saw limited damage in our areas
or workplaces.
Hope all are well there,
Michael
