Just checking on Sorenson DNA site to see if we had any more matches and was looking at
the Absolum (Ann Flack) pedigree. It dawned on me that Absolum Gillespie Callison was born
in St. Charles Co., MO in 1834 and family remained in that county AND that John Morris,
son of Richard Morris and Jane Callison (d/o James and Isabella) was in the same county.
John Morris lived next to John and Jane McClure Callison and apparently moved from Clark
Co., OH to St. Charles Co., MO. Were John and Absolom in communication before moving to
MO. John Morris definitely more closely connected with John Callison Jr -- than with the
other Callison lines. His daughter, Caty Morris married her cousin, Arthur Callison (son
of John and Jane McClure Callison) I never could figure out why John left for MO. Caty
Morris Callison died before 1818 and he sold his land in Ohio in 1818. His only other
Child, Richard Morris, was deceased by the time John wrote his will in St. Charles Co in
1827. Any of you Absolom descendants have any St. Charles Co. MO connections with a John
Morris -- land records or anything. Take care. Marilyn
