The dates given would make him 120 years old at his time of death. Not impossible in
today's society, but highly unlikely.
Are you perhaps referring to the man I know as Thomas Callis I? Son of Thomas Callis and
Ann Callis. Born in Kegworth, Leicestershire, England on 15 Jun 1759, deceased 15 October
1824, also in Kegworth Leicestershire, England.
This Thomas Callis, however, married Hannah Flowet--though it is certainly possible that
he married a Caroline Cook after her death. Such things were common in that time period.
Thomas Callis II, his son, did indeed die on 18 Mar 1875--in Kegworth, Leicestershire,
England.
Thomas I and Thomas II were my 5th and 4th great-grandfathers, respectively, and because
the lineage is reckoned through Hannah Flowet, the relative who previously researched the
family line in the early 1950's may have simply opted not to include a second marriage
if there was one after Hannah Flowet died since it was irrelevant to the family lineage.
