Death of P. A. Callanan.
A telegram was received yesterday
announcing the death of Mr. P.
A. Callanan, at the home of his
daughter in Springfield, Mass. Mr.
Callanan resided in this city up till
six years ago, when he left to make
his home with his daughter in Springfield,
and is well known in Plattsburg.
He was a charter member of
Walter H. Benedict, Post G. A. R.,
and was the maker of the Post's flag
using as material bunting from the
"Congress."
He Leaves two sisters, Miss Margaret
Callanan and Miss Annie Callanan
of Springfield, four sons, Theodore
and William Callanan of this city,
John and Arthur Callanan of Springfield,
three daughters, Mrs. Addie
LaDue, Miss Johanna Callanan and
Miss Nellie Callanan of Springfield
and three grandchildren. The funeral
will be held in this city, but the
time is not yet fixed.
