All of our messages to this list are now going to be archived on Rootsweb
and accessible via the web. All past messages will be added later, all
messages from today forward will be automatically archived. To visit the
archives go to:
http://lists.rootsweb.com/~archiver/lists/CALLICOTT-L/
You then select the year, month and then select maillist.html. This will
then give a list of messages to select. You can also select view of message
threads.
If you would like to visit other archives go to:
http://lists.rootsweb.com/~archiver/lists/
and browse through to find a list of interest. Not all maillists are listed
currently due to the listowners not subscribing since this has come up in
the past couple of days or electing to keep their archives a little more
private. This is their decision or consensus of their list. I believe that
we should keep our list public and giving us more exposure. If you do not
want something to be view publicly then don't post to the list. If you feel
that we should not be public via the web, keep in mind that archives are
accessible via email and I believe that this can not be kept private. So the
argument of keeping it private from the web to keep the list private is
really not keeping it private. If there is any list owners that know
differently feel free to correct me.
Best wishes and happy holidays,
Robert
