According to the book on Callicott Family. Sorry I
don't have the author but he/she does have a lot of
the things documented in the book which is great but
this is the way it goes.
Children of William and Mary CALLICOTT were:
Mary m. David MANN
James
Anna m Field MANN
Tabitha
Lilly Ann
Rachel
William died after 04 June 1765 in Amelia Co VA.
Married before 14 Dec 1741. They lived in Essex Co. VA
and moved to Amelia after 1738 on Ellis Fork of Flatt
Creek between Saylor and Flatt Creek.
Tabitha CALLICOTT left something to friend and brother
in law Field MANN.
James CALLICOTT moved to PRince Edward Co. VA
John CALLICOTT and (Rachel??) HOPKINS:
Children are
William
John
James
The CALLICOTT book mentions a will from a HOPKINS who
leaves something to his nephew. I have seen Rachel
listed as the wife but can't find it anywhere in the
records themselves. The only reference I have seen is
the will which mentions a nephew. The will is in
Elizabeth City Co VA. I searched for a long while
before I found it. It is not listed exactly the way
one would usually look.
Hope this helps if you need more let me know I don't
have my notes with me.

I, too, am interested in this family. I have Anna
d/o William in my
database, but have not yet been able to connect them
to my line with any
certainty. I list Anna's siblings as James, Mary,
Tabitha, Lilly, and
Rachel. I'm especially interested in the following:
1. Anna's brother James (b. 1735 Essex Co., VA, d.
1807 Charlotte Co., VA)
who was married to Susannah JAMES.
2. Anna's uncle James (brother of William b. bef
1718, d. 1778 Prince
Edwards Co., VA) who married Agatha HARRISON. James
and Agatha named a son
John Bailey Callicott (b. 1745 Prince Edward Co.,
VA) who married Sarah JAMES
(d/o Thomas JAMES).
My earliest proven ancestors are Cyrus Payne
CONNOLLY (b. 1778 Northumberland
Co., VA) who married Elizabeth Callicott (b. NC).
I'm especially intrigued
by #2 above. Cyrus's maternal grandmother was a
JAMES, as was Elizabeth's
mother. A printed family history indicates that
Cyrus and Elizabeth were
second cousins. Among Cyrus and Elizabeth's
children were Sarah, Bailey, and
James, so the overlapping names seem like a
potential link.
I'd really appreciate any light on these families!
Thanks in advance.

Will hang on to this and if I can find anything I
will send it on. Sounds
like we are working on the same lines just different
siblings.
